Peter Draisaitl: Ice Hockey Coach and Former Player

Early Life and Career

Peter Draisaitl was born on December 7, 1965, in Karviná, Czechoslovakia (now the Czech Republic). He began his ice hockey career at the age of 16 with the HC Karviná youth team. After playing in the Czech league for several years, he moved to Germany in 1989 to join the Kölner Haie.

Playing Career Highlights

During his playing career, Peter Draisaitl achieved several notable accomplishments: * Played for the West German national team at the 1988 and 1992 Winter Olympics * Played for the re-unified German national team at the 1994 Winter Olympics * Won three German national championships with Kölner Haie (1993, 1995, 2002)

Coaching Career

After retiring as a player in 2004, Peter Draisaitl began his coaching career with Kölner Haie's youth team.
