APPLE VALLEY - Emergency personnel responded to a serious motorcyclist and SUV crash Friday night in Becker County, Minnesota. The incident occurred after a state trooper pursued a motorcyclist for a brief chase before the motorcyclist crashed his vehicle. The motorcyclist, a resident of Tracy, died from his injuries.
The chase began when the motorcyclist failed to stop for a traffic violation. The trooper pursued the motorcyclist for a short distance before the motorcyclist crashed into a parked SUV.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the SUV was not injured.
The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating the crash.
