Colombia to Face Argentina in Copa America Final
James Rodríguez's Assist Sets Up Colombia's Victory
Colombia has advanced to the final of the Copa America after a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Uruguay on Wednesday night in Charlotte, North Carolina. James Rodríguez, who has been in excellent form throughout the tournament, provided the assist for Jefferson Lerma's winning goal in the first half.
Colombia had to dig deep to secure the victory, as they were reduced to 10 men in the second half after Carlos Sanchez was sent off for a second yellow card. However, the Colombian defense held firm and goalkeeper David Ospina made a number of crucial saves to keep Uruguay at bay.
Colombia will now face Argentina in the final on Saturday night in New Jersey. Argentina defeated Venezuela 3-0 in the other semi-final on Wednesday night.
